About - the Corinthian Cup
The Cambridge, Hatfield and Newmarket real tennis clubs have a long tradition of competing and collaborating together -going back over a century to some of the first inter-club matches ever. We are delighted therefore to be hosting jointly this new Tournament, the Corinthian Cup and look forward to welcoming so many friends, old and new, to our clubs. The clubs have created a Co-ordination Group to organise the preparations for, and running of, the Tournament. George Pearson (Cambridge) leads this group with John Burnett (Newmarket), John Hedges (Hatfield) and Julian Stafford (Cambridge) sharing the load. Backing-up this group are teams from each club to help with the immense amount of detailed work needed locally.
The Clubs are conveniently situated within an hour of each other, and London, and are well served by excellent road and rail connections.
